Guest approval of your inspection report
When you record the check-in, the guest reviews and approves it. Know how this protects you, and what it does not guarantee.
Updated October 10, 2026
When you record an inspection, the guest is asked to review the report and approve it. By approving, they confirm the report is accurate and that they have found no additional damage beyond what it shows.
What you see
A notice on the trip tells you whether the guest has approved the report yet. If you change a report after the guest approved it, the approval is reset and they are asked to review it again.
How to get the best protection
- Take thorough, clear photos of every panel, and close-ups of any existing scratches, dents, or chips.
- Walk around the car with the guest where you can, and point out existing marks.
- Record fuel or charge and odometer accurately.
- Add a note for anything that is hard to photograph.
- Do the check-out the same careful way, even if the guest seems in a hurry.
Your own photos, notes, the saved reports, and the trip messages are what the Seifly team uses to decide a claim.
