Choosing an earnings plan
Compare the five plans, from 60% to 90% of each trip, and what each deductible means.
Updated October 10, 2026
Your earnings plan decides how much of each trip price you keep, and how much you pay toward damage if there is a covered claim (your deductible). A higher share means a higher deductible. A lower share means a lower deductible.
The plans
- 60% of the trip price. Deductible $0. The most protection, the smallest share.
- 75% of the trip price. Deductible $250. The default for new listings.
- 80% of the trip price. Deductible $750.
- 85% of the trip price. Deductible $1,500.
- 90% of the trip price. Deductible $2,000. The largest share, the highest deductible.
Each plan includes liability protection and coverage for wear, as shown when you choose it. Current rates, plan terms, and what they include may vary by vehicle tier and promotions, and are always shown in the listing flow. The plan documents override any summary here.
How to choose
- A newer or higher-value car often suits a lower deductible, because a claim is costly.
- An older, lower-value car, or a host who is comfortable with risk, may prefer a higher share.
- If you are unsure, start with the default and change it later.
Changing your plan
You can review the plan on your listing and change it when your situation changes. Check the plan shown at the time of booking, because that is the one that applies to the trip.
