Accepting or declining a trip request
How requests reach you, how fast to reply, and what a guest sees.
Updated October 10, 2026
On a standard listing, guests send a trip request and the booking is confirmed when you accept it. Their card is authorized when they request and charged only after you accept.
Reviewing a request
Open Activity or Upcoming and select the request. You see the dates, pickup or delivery, the guest’s profile and rating, any extras, and your expected earnings.
- Check your calendar and your ability to be at the handoff.
- Look at the guest’s profile, reviews, and verification status. Every guest has completed identity verification before their first booking.
- Message the guest if you need to clarify anything before you decide.
Accept
Accepting confirms the trip, charges the guest, and opens the full trip page with check-in tools. From that point you must make the car available. If you cancel afterward without a qualifying reason, you can be charged a fee. See Host cancellation fees.
Decline
You may decline a request. The guest is not charged, and their authorization is released. Decline quickly so they can book another car. Repeatedly ignoring requests can lower your ranking.
