Unpaid balances and chargebacks
What happens if a charge fails, and why disputing with your bank first is a bad idea.
Updated October 10, 2026
How you can be charged
When you give us a payment method you authorize Seifly and Stripe to charge it for amounts you owe, including trip costs, deposits, late fees, tolls and other incidentals, claim costs, and related administrative fees.
If a charge fails
- Update your card or add another one as soon as you can.
- Contact support if you think the amount is wrong. Do not ignore it.
- We and our service providers use lawful means to collect money owed, including collection agencies. Late or missed payments may be reported to credit bureaus, and accounts in default may be charged the costs of collection.
Chargebacks
A chargeback is when you ask your bank to reverse a payment. If something is wrong, contact Seifly support first, because we can look at the inspection reports, messages, and photos and often fix it faster. Accounts with chargebacks can be restricted, and may be charged the costs of collection.
To dispute information that Seifly reported, email support@seifly.app.
