What to do after an accident
Safety first, then the steps that protect you and keep your protection plan valid.

At the scene
- Move to a safe place if you can, switch on the hazard lights, and check everyone is okay.
- Call the police for any collision. Ask for a report number.
- Exchange names, phone numbers, license plates, and insurance details with anyone else involved.
- Take photos of all vehicles, the road, and any damage, and get contact details for witnesses.
- Do not admit fault and do not agree to settle privately. Describe facts only.
Tell Seifly and your host
- Open your trip and use Trip support to report the accident. Choose “An accident or collision”, describe what happened, and attach photos.
- Message your host.
- Report as soon as possible and within 24 hours at the latest.
Can I keep driving?
After an incident that involves more than minor cosmetic damage (such as a small scratch), you may not keep using the car unless Seifly staff explicitly allow it. If the car is not drivable or not safe, arrange a tow and wait for instructions.
Why speed matters
Failing to report on time, or to cooperate with an investigation, can reduce or cancel your protection plan. Be open with your host and Seifly. The more complete the report, the easier the claim.
