Parking tickets, tolls, and traffic violations

You are responsible for what happens while you drive the car.

Updated October 10, 2026

Anything that happens while the car is in your care is your responsibility, including parking tickets, speed or red-light cameras, and toll charges.

How these reach you

  • A host can file a toll charge with the toll bill attached. You can see the date, time, place, and plate or transponder number.
  • If a ticket or fine is sent to the car’s owner for something that happened during your trip, you remain responsible for it. Your host can contact you through Seifly, and Seifly may use the payment method on file for amounts you owe.
  • The payment method on file may be used for amounts you owe, including related administrative fees.

Avoiding trouble

  • Check parking signs. Do not leave the car where it can be towed.
  • Ask your host how tolls are paid on this car before you start.
  • Keep your receipts.
