Returning the car and checking out

Return it where and when you agreed

Return the car to the place and at the time shown on your reservation or agreed with your host. Returning to a different location, or later than agreed without approval, can lead to charges, and in serious cases the car can be reported as missing.

Before you hand it back

• Refuel or recharge to about the level you picked it up with, unless you agreed something else.
• Remove all your belongings. Hosts and Seifly are not responsible for items left in a car.
• Throw away rubbish and give the interior a quick clean.

Check out

1. Open the check-out on your trip page.
2. Take photos of all sides and the interior, and record the final fuel or battery level and odometer.
3. Submit it. The report is saved to the trip.

If the host records the check-out, you review it the same way you reviewed the check-in.

After the trip

The host has a window to review the return. Any charges must fit the rules in Tolls, extra miles, and other trip charges. Your security deposit is released when no charge is due.
