Extending your trip
How to ask for more time without risking a late-return charge.

If you want the car for longer, ask early. A host can only say yes if the car is free after your trip, and you cannot keep the car past the end of your reservation until the extension is properly approved through Seifly.
How to ask
- Message your host from the trip page with the new return date and time.
- Wait for a clear yes in the thread. A yes by phone or text outside Seifly is not enough.
- Check the new total and any extra-mile allowance before you rely on it.
If the host says no
Return the car on time. If you need transport after the trip ends, book a different car for the extra days. Keeping a car without approval can lead to late-return charges and, in serious cases, the car being reported as stolen.
Remember that changing your trip does not restart the free-cancellation period.
