Avoiding scams and fraud

Common tricks, and how to keep your money and account safe.

Updated October 10, 2026

  • Never pay outside Seifly. Anyone who asks you to pay in cash, by bank transfer, or through a payment app instead of the checkout is a red flag. Payments outside Seifly are not protected.
  • Keep conversations in Seifly messages. That is where support can see them.
  • Be wary of urgency. A message that says your booking will be cancelled unless you act now is probably a scam.
  • Do not share codes. Seifly will never ask you for your sign-in code, your card number, or your password.
  • Check links. Seifly sites end in seifly.app. If a message sends you somewhere else to sign in or pay, do not.
  • Listings that look too good. A price far below similar cars, stock photos, or a host who will not meet in person may be fake.

If you think something is wrong

Stop talking to the person, keep screenshots, and email support@seifly.app. If you shared a card number or code, call your bank immediately. Fraudulent behavior is prohibited and can lead to removal. See Behavior that is not allowed on Seifly.
