Setting a mileage limit and extra-mile fee

Choose how many miles each day includes and what you charge beyond it.

Updated October 10, 2026

On each listing you can set a daily mile limit and an extra-mile fee. Guests see the limit before they book.

Options

  • Unlimited. Setting the daily limit to 0 means unlimited miles, and no extra-mile fee applies.
  • A limit per day. A guest’s allowance is the daily limit multiplied by the number of days.
  • An extra-mile fee. The amount you charge for each mile over the allowance.

Charging for extra miles

  1. Compare the odometer readings from the check-in and check-out reports.
  2. Work out how many miles were over the guest’s allowance.
  3. File an extra miles charge on the trip and enter the miles over. Your per-mile fee is applied, and Seifly deducts its own fee on this charge type.
  4. Attach the reports or photos as evidence.
