Connecting a Tesla

Link your Tesla so guests can use app-based access and you can see the car.

Updated October 10, 2026

Open Tesla Accounts under Owner Settings. Connected EV vehicles let you offer app-based access to guests for a trip.

Steps

  1. Choose to connect your Tesla and sign in with your Tesla account.
  2. Approve the access that Tesla asks for. If you decline in Tesla, nothing is connected and you can try again at any time.
  3. Back on Seifly, link the Tesla to the right listing.

Other brands

For other brands, Seifly supports connecting through your own Smartcar account, billed to you. Open the step-by-step guide on the Tesla Accounts page for details. If a connection is not switched on yet, request it and we will tell you when it is available.

Good to know

  • Connected cars can share location, mileage, and lock status with Seifly during a trip. Tell guests in the listing. See Disclosing cameras, trackers, and other technology.
  • If you disconnect a Tesla, guests can no longer see the car’s location.
  • Remote access does not replace the check-in photos. Still complete the inspection.
