Cash trips and your host wallet
How cash trips work, how Seifly’s fee is taken, and how the wallet balance is calculated.
Updated October 10, 2026
Guests in some markets can pay you in cash when they pick up the car. Card and cash trips both show up in one place: your wallet on the Earnings page.
How card trips and cash trips differ
- Card trips. The guest pays Seifly by card. When the trip ends, your share is added to your wallet.
- Cash trips. The guest pays you directly in cash. Seifly’s fee for that trip, based on your earnings plan, is taken from your wallet.
Your wallet balance
The wallet adds your card earnings and subtracts the fees on your cash trips. A positive balance is paid out to you once a week. If cash trips have put the balance below zero, your next card earnings cover it first. You can also pay Seifly directly; contact support to arrange it.
Limits on cash trips
To keep balances from growing too large, each market has a limit on how far a host’s wallet can go negative. When you reach it, new cash requests are paused until your balance is back within the limit. Your wallet panel shows your balance at any time.
